Frontier Silicon technology at the heart of Ministry of Sound personal DAB digital radio

London, UK - February 6th, 2003 - Frontier Silicon today announced that Ministry of Sound has launched a portable DAB digital radio based on Frontier Silicon's Diablo DAB module.

Ministry of Sound's stunning new personal DAB digital radio, the MOSDR011, features the very latest in state-of-the-art digital audio technology that delivers a superior radio listening experience.

MOSDR011 is based on the Diablo DAB module, developed by Frontier Silicon, The Technology Partnership (TTP) and Ensigma, a division of Imagination Technologies. Diablo is the smallest, most power-efficient and lowest cost handheld digital radio solution on the market and typically provides twice the battery life of competitive solutions.

Measuring a mere 65x100x20 mm, smaller than most mobile phones, the stylish Ministry of Sound DAB digital radio easily fits into a pocket enabling users to listen to a greater choice of digital radio stations while on the move, and enjoy interference-free digital reception. The MOSDR011 gives up to 12 hours continuous listening enjoyment with power from two standard AA batteries.

The MOSDR011 will be available from leading High Street retailers in February, including Dixons and Argos, at around £150.00.

Since it's foundation in January 2002, Frontier Silicon has established itself as the world's leading volume supplier of DAB digital radio technology in the space of less than a year. Its technology is used in award winning products from PURE Digital and in DAB radios and tuners from Acoustic Solutions, Cambridge Audio and Goodmans.
